Car auctions
What better way of buying a car rather than an auction? Places like SMD offer very cheap vehicles whether damaged or in working condition for very affordable prices. Car auctions are a good way to make money especially if you want to resell. It could be a feasible idea to buy off of auctions and resell later, this way you save thousands of rands and make more in profit. Its however not as easy as it sounds, you need to pick your car very carefully at car auctions. Some are beyond repair and could be used just for sundries of which maybe that’s not what you are looking for. It would help if you tagged along a reliable mechanic who would help you out with the choice as some cars are very tricky to judge by just looking with the eye.
Buying a car at an auction could be thrilling but make sure that you make a bid that is worth it. You do not want to bid impulsively also it is advisable that you bid after attending a few auctions just to see how an auction plays out. Its probably not the best to bid impulsively, you could learn a thing or two or even avoid common mistakes made by first time bidders. Experience is the best teacher therefore.
Also take a close look at the items that you would like to bid for, inspect them so that you see if they are worth the money during a bid. It could save you from headaches and disappointment. Do not be a victim of a rip off, many think they bargained until they take a trip to the garage and the mechanic tells them to replace the engine.
